CAGI Sonic Attractor®
The CAGI Sonic Attractor does not replace the
fisherman's lure or bait. It is a
device attached to the line up to18"
above the lure or bait. It makes their
existing investment in lures more effective
by emitting a specific sound vibration which
attracts fish to the lure. Predatory fish
do not just locate prey optically, their
sight is very limited. Even in reasonably
clear water, game fish do not see anything
more than 20-30 feet away with any degree
of clarity.
Sound,
on the other hand, travels very efficiently
(4.7 times faster) through
water than through the air
and over a much greater distance, regardless
of water clarity. Sound travels through
air at 340 meters per second (0.21 miles/second).
Sound travels through water at about 1,600
meters per second (1mile/second).
According to research
done on yellowtail tuna, the CAGI Sonic Attractor should attract fish from 100
meters (328 feet) away. (Source: Fishery Bulletin,
"Shape, volume, and resonance frequency
of the swimbladder of yellow fin tuna, Thunnus
albacares." Kurt M. Schaefer and Charles
W. Oliver)

The
purpose of the CAGI Sonic Attractor is to attract
more fish to your favorite lure or bait.
It is NOT intended to replace it. Use the
same lure you would normally use.
Instructions
for use:
- Attach the CAGI
Sonic Attractor to your line with the pointed
end toward your pole. Attach your
favorite lure or bait up to18" behind
the flat end of the Sonic Attractor.
- To prevent line
twist, put a swivel on the lower end of
the Sonic Attractor.
- For casting: Use
a stiffer line or prepared stainless steel
leader to attach your favorite lure or
bait up to18" behind the flat end
of the Sonic Attractor. This prevents
your lure from tangling back on the Sonic Attractor while casting. For trolling:
Use a lighter weight leader behind the
Sonic Attractor to attach your lure or bait.
- The speed of retrieval
or trolling will dictate the sound frequency
your Sonic Attractor produces. Begin with
a slow retrieve or troll and judge the
number of hits your lure receives.
Increase your speed to see if there is
a difference, then increase a bit more,
etc. Within a short period of time,
you will be able to determine the exact
speed required for the species of fish,
water conditions, weather, etc.
NOTE:
The CAGI Sonic Attractor is not designed for jerk-baits
or fly fishing.
